Curia: “cu·​ria ˈkyu̇r-ē-ə  ˈku̇r-, ˈkyər-” - from the Latin word for “court”, as in an ancient body of peoples who governed the future of ancient civilizations.

The purposes of such a body here, however, is much less ancient and closer to our own modern times than one might imagine. In this time, the world as we currently know it has fallen away due to a catastrophe of epic proportions and for reasons currently unknown.
